Our Location
|
|
Located in close proximity to the Lake
District and the historic City of Carlisle, only a short drive from the Roman
Wall and the picturesque Galloway region of South West Scotland, visible on the opposite shore of the Solway Firth.
Silloth
is noted for its invigorating but mild climate, its leisurely peaceful
atmosphere and perhaps most of all its glorious sea views. The sunsets are
renowned and were recorded for posterity by Turner, the famous landscape
artist.
|
| This
is an area to enjoy at leisure, relax in its oasis of solitude, away from the
'madding crowd' or revel in the many opportunities for outdoor pursuits and
adventure between hills, lakes and sea.
Even
the cool winter evenings are warmed by a touch of evening colour. |
|
Its
beauty and tranquillity are matched only by the warmth of its people.
