This is a seaside Championship Links Golf Course (6,626 yards maximum) and an "Open Championship Qualifying Course".
Visitors normally play 6,062 yards, SSS70 course (yellow tees), with ladies playing 5,781 yards. SSS74 (red tees).

There are practice facilities, the site boasts panoramic views over the Solway Firth to Scotland and to Skiddaw and the Lakeland Hills.
