Solway Links Golf Courses Solway Coast Sunset The Lake District

The Golf Hotel has an enviable position in the centre of Silloth, overlooking the town green and close to the Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), famous for its stunning sunsets, abundant bird life, beautiful coastline walks and numerous golf courses. To the south are the historic ports of Maryport and Whitehaven.

With its peaceful atmosphere and its glorious sea views, it's no wonder that Silloth is a popular seaside resort. Located a short drive from the fells of the Lake District, facing across the Solway Firth towards the hills of Southern Galloway in Scotland, this charming, unspoilt Victorian town is never short of character. Silloth is the perfect place for a day out, a short break away from it all or a family holiday.

The town has beautiful scenic views across the Solway Firth that can provide the most spectacular sunsets. The tree lined cobbled streets and its vast town green add to the charm and attraction of this beautiful Cumbrian coastal holiday resort. Solway shrimps are still caught to this day by a small fishing fleet harboured in the town's old dock.
